The Scott Largent Campaign for State Representative would like to thank all of its supporters from the Primary on Tuesday. There was wide support from all five counties in the district as Largent amassed a dominating total. The campaign is excited that the hard work throughout the district over the last seven months has paid off.

“I am proud of the support we had on Tuesday. Despite a number of contested races on the Democratic ticket we were able to garner huge totals from all corners of the district,” Largent said after his watch party with over fifty of his supporters. “We can’t rest now, though. We still have lots of work to do before November and we must build on the current momentum.”

Largent received 84% of the vote in the 120th District that includes all of Henry County, and parts of Johnson, Cass, Bates and Pettis Counties. He managed a total of 93% of the vote in Henry County, the county that he has represented as Coroner for the past four years.

“I’m looking forward to the general election,” Largent said. “I believe that my opponent and I have broadly differing views on issues important to the 120th District and I am anxious to debate those. I believe that in these tough economic times we will need someone who has experience creating jobs and I have that experience as a small business owner.”
