Kristi Kenney Receives Most Votes in State Rep Primary

Nearly 3,200 individuals voted for Kristi Kenney for 120th District State Representative in the recent primary election, nearly double the number of votes received by the leading opponent. In Henry County, Kenney’s vote totals more than doubled her nearest opponent.

“I thank the voters in Henry County and throughout the district for their confidence and trust in my campaign,” Kenney said. “It is gratifying to know that voters in this district feel the way I do, that we must fully support local education, and make sure folks have access to adequate health care.”

“People see the need for change in the status quo,” she said.

Kenney has been busy since the primary. Kenney recently joined Attorney General Jay Nixon and Secretary of State Robin Carnahan at an event for Congressman Ike Skelton. Last week, Kristi joined the parade celebration in Rockville. “It was a great parade,” she said, “entertaining and enjoyable, especially when exchanging ideas with the voters of the Rockville area.”

Last Monday Kenney sponsored an ice cream social in Windsor which was well attended. Lane Brooks and Mark Moser provided the entertainment. “As always, the people of Windsor were informed and focused on the issues of this campaign, including education and adequate health care. I look forward to discussing these and other important issues in detail as the campaign continues,” Kenney said.
