Eagle Day a the dam
Christopher Allen 2-7-07
People from all walks of life traveled to Warsaw on Saturday to look out over Truman Lake in the hope of seeing a bald eagle. It was Eagle day at the visitor’s center over by the dam. Even if you didn’t see an eagle soaring over the lake, there was plenty to see inside, including two eagles - one Bald Eagle and one Golden Eagle- at an informative presentation in the theatre. There was a talk by a native American concerning the unique relationship that his people have with this magnificent bird. You could also learn about the fish in the Reservoir and have a conversation with a scissor tailed Kite!
